Get Your Own ASN

An Autonomous System Number (ASN) is your unique identifier on the global internet routing table. We sponsor your application through RIPE NCC and guide you through every step.

What is an ASN?

An Autonomous System Number (ASN) is a globally unique number assigned to an autonomous system — a collection of IP prefixes under a single administrative domain with a common routing policy. ASNs are used by internet service providers, enterprises, and hobbyists to participate in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) routing on the internet.

With your own ASN you can announce your IP address space to the internet from any location or provider, giving you true provider-independence and multi-homing capability.

How It Works

  1. 1

    Reach out to us

Contact us at [email protected] to discuss your requirements. We will assess your use case and confirm eligibility before anything else.

  2. 2

Fill out the forms & identity check

Complete the ASN application forms and submit identity documents. We verify your details to ensure compliance with RIPE NCC requirements.

  3. 3

    Internal review & contract signing

Our team reviews your application internally. Once approved, you sign the sponsorship agreement with JianyueLab before we proceed.

  4. 4

    Submit to RIPE NCC

JianyueLab submits the request to RIPE NCC as your sponsoring LIR. Processing typically takes 3–10 business days.

  5. 5

    Receive your ASN

Your ASN is issued directly by RIPE NCC. We assist you with RPKI ROA setup and route object creation in the RIPE database.

Requirements

  • A natural person or legal entity.

  • A valid address.

  • A valid phone number.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the process take?
After we submit the request to RIPE NCC, it typically takes 3–10 business days for the ASN to be issued, subject to RIPE NCC processing times.
Do I need an IPv4 or IPv6 block first?
Not necessarily for the ASN itself, but to actually announce routes you will need at least one prefix. We can help you obtain Provider-Independent (PI) space at the same time or use the PA that we assigned to you after you receive your ASN.
What region does this cover?
JianyueLab is a RIPE NCC member, so we can sponsor ASNs for organisations located in the RIPE NCC service region (Europe, Middle East, and parts of Central Asia) and in the rest of the world.
Are there ongoing fees?
There is an annual sponsorship fee to cover LIR membership maintenance and RIPE NCC registry costs. Contact us for a quote.
