- Route Origin Authorisations in the RIPE database protect your prefix against BGP hijacking.
- Global reachability
- Your prefix is propagated across our full-table BGP sessions.
- RIPE DB objects

- Ongoing support
- Our network engineers help with routing configuration, prefix filtering and registry updates.
PI or PA — which do you need?
| Feature | Provider-Independent (PI) | Provider-Aggregatable (PA) |
|---|---|---|
| Portability | Portable; not tied to one upstream provider | Tied to JianyueLab as upstream; not portable |
| Your own ASN | Required, with at least one transit or peering agreement | Not required |
| Announced by | You, from your own BGP session | JianyueLab, on your behalf |

| Standard size | /48 | /48 or larger on request |

- PA: a legitimate use that complies with RIPE NCC policy and our acceptable use policy.
Frequently asked questions
What size block can I get?
RIPE NCC assigns a /48 as the standard PI size. PA delegations range from /48 to /32, depending on your requirements and justification.
How quickly can I get the addresses?
PA space is typically assigned within 1–2 business days. PI needs RIPE NCC approval and usually takes 5–10 business days.
Can I use this space for a VPN or tunnel broker?
Yes, if the use is legitimate and complies with RIPE NCC policy and our acceptable use policy.
Do you support IPv4 as well?
Free-pool IPv4 is exhausted in the RIPE region, so we focus on IPv6 for new allocations. Contact us about specific IPv4 needs.
